Our Favorite Family-Friendly Breweries in OKC

When you think family outing, a brewery may not be the first (or even seventh) idea to come to mind. Let me persuade you to load up the kids, the dogs, and your never-been-happier husband and enjoy a day at one of OKC’s many amazing breweries!

My husband and I have always loved visiting breweries together, and we didn’t want to stop that fun after becoming parents. Luckily, we have found that so many breweries are incredibly family-friendly! Most are even dog-friendly, so you can truly bring the whole family.

While this list is certainly not exhaustive (I feel that most breweries around OKC are family-friendly), these are our personal favorites.

Angry Scotsman Brewing

The Angry Scotsman is the ultimate place to hang. They always have a lineup of amazing events. Looking for trivia, bingo, or live music? They’ve got it! And of course, there’s an impressive beer selection and a can’t-miss happy hour.

Anthem Brewing Company

It’s all in the name at Core4! Soul Shine, Oklahoma Sunset, Check Valve, and First Time Caller are brews you don’t want to pass up. The Core 4, plus the rotating seasonal selections, is a perfect lineup. And to top it off, they’re open seven days a week!

COOP Ale Works

Open Thursday through Saturday, Coop Ale Works offers beer for every palette. You’ve got to check out their calendar for all the events you won’t want to miss!

Core4 Brewing

The open concept of this brewery makes it a great pick to bring the family. And with families in mind, Anthem offers board games, puzzles, and coloring sheets to keep the littles entertained while you enjoy their stellar selection of beer.

Frenzy Brewing Company

Located in downtown Edmond, there is no shortage of delicious eateries nearby to enjoy with your beer. Frenzy is ready for your youngest ones with highchairs and your older ones with arcade games.

Lively Beerworks

Lively Beerworks is where it’s at for a LIVELY time in the heart of OKC. Choose from beer on tap, like a Grapefruit IPA, Milk Stout, or Mexican Lager. They’re also known to host some great events!

Madhopper Brewing

We haven’t personally visited this brewery, but I wanted to include it for its location (close to the Village) and its fantastic reviews. They have board games and cards available for entertainment.

Prairie Artisan Ales

Prairie OKC is a win for the whole family. It’s kid-friendly and welcomes dogs, too. They even have pickleball now, so you can really make a night of it!

Roughtail Brewing Company

Roughtail boasts great food and a fun atmosphere, both inside and out. They have a wide variety of board games for all ages, along with coloring sheets and crayons.

Skydance Brewing Company

The friendliest of folks work at Skydance and are constantly praised for their kind and cool atmosphere. There are tons of seating options, both inside and out. The gravel outside and a few trucks from home have kept my toddler entertained for hours while there.

Social Capital

Though not technically a brewery, Social Capital is worth mentioning as it offers dozens of local brews on tap for more of a one-stop shop. Social Capital offers incredible views, board games, highly-praised nachos, and the most festive Christmas vibes that the kids are sure to love.

Stonecloud Brewing Company

Featuring some of OKC’s most delicious local beer, Stonecloud makes it easy to bring your family with their selection of board games, coloring sheets, and billiards. Order delivery directly to the brewery to make a day of it!

The Big Friendly

Located in the Wheeler District, there’s a playground just a stone’s throw away for the littles to enjoy. There are also excellent food options close by, including gelato to really sweeten the deal. And just in case you needed even more convincing to visit The Big Friendly, there is a little nook under the stairs with kids’ books inside!
