If your family is anything like my family, you LOVE a great park with a fantastic playground for kids to burn all their pent up energy. Now that the warmer weather is here to stay (hopefully…we do live in Oklahoma after all) here are some of the best parks to check out in the OKC Metro!

Let us know if we missed your favorites – there are so many to choose from!

Oklahoma City

Martin Nature Park  5000 W. Memorial Rd  – check out the full resource on Martin Nature Park here! With around 3 miles of trails through this nature park, there is a hands-on recreation facility and a playground for kids to play.

Myriad Botanical Gardens 301 W. Reno Ave. *Playground and Sprayground – The kids area is FANTASTIC and fenced in, which is a huge plus. We love that it’s centrally located and of course the gardens are fun to walk around when you’re done playing!

OKC Zoo 2000 Remington Place *Playground and Sprayground – The zoo recently redid the playground, and it is AWESOME.

Rt. 66 Park  9901 NW 23rd St. – Sitting along OKC’s Lake Overholser, this 148-acre park  features three ponds and walking trails. Plus, it has the largest playground in the city along with the Cyrus Avery Observation Tower.

Scissortail Park 300 SW 7th St. *Playground and Sprayground – This park is seriously one of OKC’s best installations. The playground by itself is amazing and kids LOVE it. Add in the splash pad and it’s truly the perfect parent paradise of entertainment.

Stars and Stripes Park  3701 S Lake Hefner Dr. – This park has multiple climbing structures that kids love! It’s located by the lake too so lots to do and explore when you’re done playing.

Edmond

Fink Park Second Street & Garland Godfrey Drive – This is a hidden gem of Edmond. The playground is fun, but really the exploration capabilities of the creek are perfect for families!

Chitwood Park – also known as the “Rocketship” park. If you know, you know. This one has a great play structure shaped like a rocket, and kids love this one (even big kids)!

Bickham-Rudkin Park – this one has structures both for toddlers and big kids, so it’s a perk if you have kids of various ages. A really great place to play!

Hafer Park 1034 S. Bryant St. – this is an OKC favorite especially since they redid the playgrounds! The only downside is it’s usually crowded during busy times.

Mitch Park 1501 W. Covell Rd. – There is a newer playground installment that is fun for kids and is really great for bigger kids.

Moore

Little River Park 709 SW 10th St. *Playground and Sprayground – AMAZING playground and splash pad. This one is a definite family favorite amongst our team.

Norman

Andrews Park  201 W. Daws St. *Playground and Sprayground – the new inclusive playground for children of all abilities in Norman, OK. (Ruby Grant Park is another inclusive park in Norman).

Reaves Park 2501 Jenkins Ave. – a park with a small playground for kiddos.

Ruby Grant Park 3110 W Franklin Road – all abilities playground for kids with trails and picnic pavilions.

Piedmont

Piedmont Community Park & Splash Pad 130 Gooder Simpson Blvd. *Playground and Sprayground – Another amazing park! This one has all the coolest swings and a huge wooden climbing structure with separate toddler area that is also really big. This one is totally worth the drive.

Bethany

Bethany All Abilities Playground (Cecil Mendenall Library Park) – this park is truly amazing, especially if you have kiddos needing accommodations. It really is for kids of all abilities!

Yukon

Freedom Train Park  2101 S. Holly *Will be closed for construction May 23, 2022 through the end of the year and will reopen in 2023 with an all new playground and splash pad.*
