July Family-Friendly Events in the OKC Metro

Everyone’s favorite month is here! Let’s welcome the snap, crackle, and pop of excitement . . . and FIREWORKS! Oklahoma City is packed with so much to do this month, and we’ve gathered the best family-friendly events you’ve got to check out!

Looking for all things Independence Day? Be sure to check out our guide to 4th of July!

Thank you to our sponsor, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum!

Make memories the cowboy way during National Day of the Cowboy, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. For one unforgettable day, the museum comes alive with the spirit of the West in celebration of an American icon – the cowboy! Kids can test their courage, cheer each other on, make something of their own, and experience cowboy culture in ways they’ll remember. Meet PBR Team Oklahoma Wildcatters in person and watch the Ward Family Trick Ropers wow the crowd with two high-energy performances. Little buckaroos can jump into the fun with mechanical bull riding, mini-barrel racing, giant horseshoes, stick-horse making, caricatures, face painting, and take-home crafts. Free for members or included with museum admission.

We’d love to hear of more July events in town we might have missed. If you don’t see a local event you love on this calendar, you can add it here.
