A visit to a nearby family farm is the perfect way to get out of the house, take a break from screens, and enjoy some fresh air and fun. We’re sharing our favorite farms and special events to plan the perfect spring outing.
Orr Family Farm | Oklahoma City
Easter Eggstravaganza 2026: March 28th & 29th, April 3rd & 4th
Orr Family Farm is a must-visit location for both fall and spring! The spring fun kicks off with the farm’s Easter Eggstravaganza. This is an annual event you’ll want to hop on over to for a visit and photo op with the Easter Bunny. And don’t forget the kids’ baskets for egg hunts!
Strawberry Fest 2026: April 25th & 26th, May 2nd, 3rd, & 9th
Orr Family Farm’s Strawberry Fest follows in May. You can purchase fresh strawberries from the store, snack on themed treats, and watch as the kids let loose, enjoying all the fun attractions.
Things to Know:
- There are more than 25 attractions for families to enjoy including train rides, zip lining, tube slides, and pony rides. There are select attractions that do require additional purchase.
- There’s no outside food or drinks allowed, so you won’t be able to bring your own pizza or cooler full of drinks. However, you can find hamburgers, chicken tenders, pretzels, donuts, and hot dogs for sale. There are plenty of options whether you’re looking for a full meal or just a snack.
- Be prepared to explore! The fun, food, and attractions are spread out across the beautiful farm, so you’ll want to be ready for a good walk.
- Bathrooms are situated around the farm: close to the entrance, back by the pony rides, and out by the jumping pillow and dig zone.

There isn’t much shade around the farm so be sure to apply and pack sunscreen!
Mollie Spencer Farm | Yukon
Easter on the Prairie 2026: Saturday, April 4, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Mom friends agree, Easter on the Prairie is a must-do for making springtime family memories. It’s the perfect chance for moms to snap those picture-perfect farm photos, while the kids dash and dive into the egg hunt. Plus, there are other fun activities like face painting and live entertainment for an afternoon full of fun!
Stirling Classic Scottish Festival 2026: May 29-31
Explore Celtic culture with the whole family at the Stirling Classic Scottish Festival. Mollie Spencer Farm is home to the weekend-long celebration featuring music, dance, and delicious food. Get up close to watch traditional heavy (and seriously impressive) athletics, sheepherding, and lively pipe bands. It’s a fun and unique way to introduce the kids to some awesome Celtic traditions!

Did you know? The Mollie Spencer Farm is a 33-acre property in Yukon and a key piece of Oklahoma history. It was originally purchased in 1894 by Mollie Spencer, whose husband and brother-in-law founded the town of Yukon in 1891! The Mollie Spencer Farm provides educational opportunities that promote animal well-being, support regional history, and celebrate a sense of community pride in Yukon, Oklahoma.
Magnolia Blossom Ranch | Newcastle
Spring Alpaca Farm Day 2026: Saturday, May 16th
Looking for a family outing that’s a little out of the ordinary? How about petting a pack of adorable alpacas? Head south of the city to Magnolia Blossom Ranch in Newcastle for the Spring Alpaca Farm Day. The Bearded Doe and Company | Coyle
The Bearded Doe and Company is a small family farm in the heart of Oklahoma that uses their goats to make cheese, yogurt, lotion, and soap. This charming farm also hosts cuddle sessions with sweet baby goats, all while you enjoy your favorite beverage. Pack a picnic blanket, bring some snacks and your beverage of choice, and hit the road for a fun Sip and Snuggle experience. Human kids are more than welcome, too.
