The Best Brunch Spots In & Around OKC

Best Brunch OKCLooking for the best brunch spots? Oklahoma City has a lot going for it. From public art to community events and so much more, there’s something out there for everyone. Me personally? Well, I take pride in another aspect of our beloved city – the food. Particularly the breakfast food. We’ve all heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and I agree, with the resounding cheers of a mimosa-filled champagne flute.

Of course, when you have kids in tow, navigating those delicious spots requires a whole new level of courage and patience. For your convenience, I’ve rounded up my favorite family-friendly brunch spots across the metro (and some honorable mentions) that are the perfect places for you to take your little rascals when you have a hankering for a delicious way to start your day because, let’s be honest, sometimes momma needs a kick start in the form of a mile-high stack of pancakes. Be sure to wear your stretchy pants.

Best Brunch Spots in OKC

Waffle bites and a breakfast sammie at Waffle Champion.

Edmond/North side

‪Eggington’s: This one was a no-brainer. You won’t meet an Edmond-ite who doesn’t swear by Eggington’s, and it’s easy to see why. From superior customer service to the traditional breakfast, this place is a must for anyone in the metro. Not to mention that it has an upbeat breakfast vibe and offers well-spaced booths and tables to accommodate families of any size.

Good Gravy: Nichols Hills really nailed it with this place. Visit this delicious spot on Western Avenue for good old-fashioned breakfast comfort food in a comfy café setting.

Metro Diner: Located right off John Kilpatrick Turnpike, Metro Diner is tucked into the Shoppes at Quail Springs, but don’t let that fool you – the food and décor is as classic and wonderful as grandma’s home cooking.

Uptown/Paseo/Plaza

HunnyBunny Biscuit Co.: Holy biscuits. This is one of our favorites spots in all of OKC, and it’s located smack in the middle of town on 23rd Street. Who doesn’t want a perfectly-topped biscuit in a totally Instagrammable restaurant? The only drawback is that parking can get a bit crazy, but I promise: totally worth it.

Cafe Kacao: If you’re looking for a little twist on your brunching, this is the place to go on Classen. Add a little Latin American spice to your breakfast in this upbeat spot and challenge your picky eater’s taste buds. Not to mention, the staff are great resources for recommendations and are incredibly friendly!

Cheever’s Cafe: Feeling fancy? Get yourself and your kids dressed up for a little more upscale brunch at Cheever’s on 23rd. With parking on-site and an upbeat vibe, the food here is absolutely worth putting your fancy pants on. Pro tip: make a reservation because it fills up fast.

Picasso Café: Another Paseo hotspot, Picasso Café is a trendy location to get your breakfast fix. Don’t just stop by for brunch though, because their menu covers any meal you need, with a little French twist.

Downtown/Midtown/Automobile Alley

Waffle Champion: If you’ve never been to Waffle Champion in Midtown, stop reading and go right now. It’s one of my personal favorites. There’s lots of parking across the street and quick counter service. I would recommend going during the week around lunchtime to avoid the suuuuper long lines on weekends.

Hatch: This Automobile Alley breakfast joint offers great food and delicious mimosas. It’s also conveniently located by the cutest locally-owned stores in the metro, so you can knock out some shopping for the family afterward. Hatch also has a second location in Chisholm Creek in NW OKC!

Brunch options at Packard’s New American Kitchen

Packard’s‪ New American Kitchen: Another Midtown gem, Packard’s has a pretty diverse, yet conventional, breakfast menu that packs great flavor. It’s also not totally impossible to get a table during the weekend. I highly recommend the pancakes – they are the best in OKC.

Jones Assembly: One of the newest additions to downtown’s breakfast scene, Jones isn’t just for great dinner and concerts.

Sunnyside Diner: From traditional breakfast classics to vegan options, Sunnyside has become well known for its wonderful food and offers various locations across OKC spanning from Lake Hefner down to SW 89th.

Mary Eddy’s: If you’re venturing downtown, Mary Eddy’s is a unique brunch stop. From art displays to the iconic purple penguins, your kiddos will be constantly entertained!

‪Kamp’s 1910 Cafe: If you’re looking for a more laid back environment where there’s some space for kids, Kamp’s on NE 10th is a great option for brunch or early lunch!

Cafe Cuvée at the Ambassador Hotel‪: This might be more of a mom’s day out brunch spot, but it shouldn’t be overlooked. Located in the Ambassador Hotel, Café Cuvee is my one of the best places to enjoy a quiet, delicious meal with your mom friends.

Cafe do Brazil: As the name implies, this local spot offers a tasty Brazilian twist on breakfast and is located in Midtown. It also offers gluten-free options and on-site parking!

Yukon

Miller Grill: From massive pancakes to chicken and waffles, Miller Grill is a delicious spot and worth the drive from anywhere in metro. Bonus points for tons of parking, making it easy on us moms to load and unload our crew.

Midwest City

Sara’s Restaurant: A truly quaint spot, Sara’s is a great option for brunch on the west side of town and has great seating options, from booths to tabletops.

Southside/Moore/Norman

‪Sherri’s Diner: One of the Southside’s most underrated brunch spots, Sherri’s is frequented by locals, but it’s worth the trip from anywhere in the metro. Check it out on SW 59th Street and make sure to try the cinnamon rolls.

Sunny Side Up: As a Moore resident, I can firmly say this is my family’s favorite local spot. The prices are affordable, the food is great, and the service is spectacular. Be warned though – it fills up quickly on the weekends!

Neighborhood Jam: If you think you aren’t a brunch person, try Neighborhood Jam – you’ll soon decide otherwise. With massive servings, amazing food and multiple locations, it’s easy to see why this Norman staple quickly expanded across the metro. Bonus for moms – the atmosphere is very upbeat, so even the most excitable kiddos will blend right in.

Syrup: Syrup quickly rose to local fame in Norman because its quirky twists on classic breakfast leave your taste buds wanting more. Check out the original Norman location or the newest one on 23rd Street in OKC.

The Diner: Add some spice or keep it classic, The Diner offers great brunch portions on Main Street in Downtown Norman. It’s also conveniently located right down the road from the University of Oklahoma.

Juan Del Fuego Mexi Diner: One of the newest locations on this list, you can enjoy some Mexican-inspired twists on delicious breakfast food at Juan Del Fuego in Norman.
