This 2 day a week Mother’s Day Out program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am – 2:30pm from September to May following the Edmond Public Schools holiday calendar.
Children have indoor and outdoor free play time, daily all-school chapel time, a daily Bible lesson and age appropriate preschool lessons that include hands on learning, beginning concepts, literature, and music. Classes are offered for children 6 months old through pre-kindergarten. Each class has 2 teachers. The teachers in our pre-k classes are certified teachers. The program includes PS 3 for children who turn 3 years before September 1, and PK 4/5 for children who turn 4 years before September 1. The Child Development Center at Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center is a part of a program that trains personnel for careers in the field of child care while providing a loving environment for your child. They are open from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for a limitied number of children between the ages of 2 and 6. The Center is a three star facility and NACCP accredited. Children’s Day Out is designed for children twelve months through four years old (or 5 if not in Kindergarten) on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Children age 12 months-3 years may attend 1, 2, or all 3 days (do not have to be toilet trained). Children ages 3 (by Sept. 1) – 5 years, must be enrolled for 3 days a week (must be toilet trained). They use a Bible based Early Childhood Curriculum called WEE (Weekday Early Education) Learn. The Stepping Stones Mother’s Day Out program at Waterloo Church of the Nazarene is for children 12months-5yrs old and run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-2:30. Parent’s Day Out (Mother’s Day Out) is offered to children ages 6 months through kindergarten, using the WEE Learn Curriculum published by LifeWay Christian Resources. One Step at a Time is a family owned and operated center with the philosophy is to provide a caring and loving environment for your child with a Christian basis and the basic morals and values that build a young mind and heart. Programs range from infant to school age. They have an open door policy for tours from 7:00 until 5:00.
Sonshine School has 10 classes ranging from ages six months to half-day Pre-School. The classes each have two teachers. Special consideration is given to teacher/student ratio for every age level and have age-appropriate pre-school activities which may include cooking, literature, music and their own curriculum. First Christian Church offers care Monday through Friday from 6:45am to 6:00pm for children 6 weeks of age through the completion of fifth grade.
