Mim’s Bakery {Sponsored}

As someone with a self proclaimed sweet tooth, Emily Karlovitz found it hard to fulfill this desire when she became a vegan; so she experimented with recipes and ingredients and found ways to make vegan treats just as delicious without the animal products. Today she owns the OKC local business, Mim’s Bakery. She offers granola, bread, cupcakes, pastries, and cookies.  All of her baked goods are vegan, but she can also make them gluten free, allergy free, or whatever your dietary specifications are!

Currently her items are being sold at the Red Cup and through Oklahoma Food Cooperative. The easiest way to get your hands (or teeth) on these goods is through her online site. You can contact Emily via Facebook, text, phone or email and she is happy to work with you around your special dietary needs. Delivery is based upon your convenience. The next step in her business is to open up a store front, so be on the lookout!

Whoopie Pies…my personal fav!

I can honestly vouch for these goodies, because I got to sample a variety. Vegan or no vegan…these baked goods were delicious!! I loved them all (although I hold a special place in my heart for the chocolate and peanut butter whoopie pie…think Little Debbie but on a whole different level) and have no idea how they taste so good with no butter or eggs in them! Emily says her maple pecan granola and whoopie pies are the best sellers and it’s easy to see why!

I appreciate that she clearly labels all the ingredients that are in each item in case you have any questions. Many of her ingredients are grown in our state too. She uses peanut butter from Snider Farms in Hollis and Oklahoma grown wheat flour, cornmeal, pumpkin, nuts, and berries when available. Check out her products, support local business, and sink your teeth into one of those delicious desserts. I promise your mouth will thank me!
