The FireLake FireFlight Balloon Festival near OKC returns to Shawnee, OK this year! On the weekend of August 11-12, families can enjoy a weekend of family fun including carnival rides, family games and entertainment, balloon glows, live music, petting zoo, splash pad, and of course balloons! And the Outdoor Nation Expo, which runs alongside Balloon Fest, offers family-friendly hunting and fishing demos, products, and more!

Admission to the festival is FREE, including parking, fireworks and live entertainment. Guests are encouraged to bring cash for the vendor market, food trucks, tethered rides ($20) and kids’ activities at the Kid Zone ($10 wristband).

Balloon Rides
And of course there will be balloon rides!For tethered rides, balloons remain anchored to the ground and do not leave the festival site. Balloons rise to approximately tree-top level and then return to the ground. Tethered rides are available for purchase for $20 per person on a first come, first serve basis. There is no minimum age for tethered rides. The cost is $20 per person, regardless of age.
